Al, formerly known as Fast Track Al, owned a skateboarding park at Coolsville Beach.

Physical appearance[]

Al is a tall, physically fit man. He has blond hair, and sun-tanned skin. He wore a blue undershirt under a sleeveless pink Hawaiian shirt with black palm trees and purple shorts. He also wears blue bracelets on each wrists.

Personality[]

When Scooby-Doo and the gang first met Al, he appeared to be soft-spoken and friendly, but also melancholy. He also had a dark secret; his true nature was uncovered when it was revealed that he was still involved with drugs, and even smuggling drugs.

Al was also deceptive, using his sad story and lying about not being able to skateboard to deflect suspicion away from himself.

History[]

Early life[]

He used to be an international skateboarding champion, but soon got addicted to illegal drugs. Al was sent to prison for possession of drugs, and his career was ruined, with he himself having remarked that it nearly ruined his life. When he got out of prison, he took what little money he had left and opened his skate park.

A Pup Named Scooby-Doo[]

Season one[]

Al unmasked (Scooby Dude)

Al unmasked.

Al, along with a crooked Beach Patrol officer named Sandy Sneakers, became part of a gang of drug smugglers. He dressed up as the Headless Skateboarder to scare people away that so no one would see the dolphins he and Sandy had stolen from the Coolsville Marine Institute to smuggle illegal drugs.

It was unknown if Al was using the drugs for his personal consumption, or if he and Sandy were making money from selling the drugs. However, given that it did not make much sense for Al to scare away his own customers, it is most likely that he was making more money selling drugs than he could from his skate park.

They also tried to make it look like Red Herring was the monster, using one of his pranks as a means to place suspicion on him.

They were taken into custody by Gnarly Charlie, who was an undercover FBI agent investigating the drug smuggling operation.

Appearances[]

Notes/trivia[]

  • Al is notable for being the first drug user in the franchise, although he is not actually seen using any controlled substance on screen.
