T.J. Buzby pretended to be the ghost of Shaggy Rogers' Uncle Beauregard in order to scare him away, leaving the way clear for him to find a hidden treasure. At the end of the film, as Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy are driving away from the plantation they see what appears to be the real ghost of Uncle Beauregard.
