Ben Gazi is a local Turkish man who works for Professor Brixton as the foreman for his archaeological dig.

He oversaw the archeological dig in Turkey ran by Professor Brixton. He was one of the few workmen not to be chased away by the Tar Monster. Although he was initially considered a suspect, due to his creepy behavior, frightening appearance, and the fact that he was still around, he was later proven innocent and was present at the discovery of the treasure.
