According to one of the Spook Museum's tours, discovered gold in the area and he was the one who changed the name of the town to Crystal Cove.
One Halloween about 75 years ago, he was fighting with his family for the puzzle-piece artifact when an earthquake caused his home to be swallowed up underground, along with him and his entire family.
