Scooby-Doo! Music of the Vampire[]

Mr

Mr. Clopper unmasked.

In order to increase customers for his exterminator business, Mr. Clopper put on a giant cockroach monster costume and terrorized the sewers beneath a factory.

He first appeared standing imposingly behind the Mystery Gang in costume in which he let out a screech to scare them. After a failed attempt by Fred to capture him, Velma unleashed a blast of high pressured sewer water from a nearby pipe which caught him off guard. The water collided with Mr. Clopper and propelled him into a wall. This caused the man to accidentally break character for a moment when he let out a yelp using his actual voice. Afterwards, he slid to the ground and laid immobilized on his back with the limbs of his cockroach costume twitching in the air. Velma swiftly pulled the mask from his face with enough force to cause the man to gasp in displeasure. Mr. Clopper then looked up in shame as Velma explained his entire plan with his mask gripped in one hand.

The costume itself seemed to be much larger than a human when standing upright. This would make it extremely difficult for a person to move on their own, but any sort mechanism or feature of the costume that Mr. Clopper could have used to control the creature’s limbs were never explained. The mask seemed to be made of rubber based on its physics and the bottom of it blended in seamlessly with the rest of the costume. It likely conformed well to Mr. Clopper’s face as evidenced by the way he was able to manipulate the creature’s facial expressions. Although Velma was able to pull it off easily, it wasn’t without discomfort from the man which shows that it was probably tight enough to pull on his mustache or cause friction with his skin.
