The aptly named Coral Creature had its habitat disturbed by Spencer Johnson's plan which caused it to act mean and angry.
History
What's New, Scooby-Doo?
Season three
It was believed to be the reason as to who or what was pulling people beneath the beach, but again it was a part of Spencer's elaborate plan. In an act of kindness it was able to reedem itself by rescuing Scooby-Doo from a flood. (Reef Grief!)
