The Coral Creature is a real monster living in the Great Barrier Reef.

Physical appearance

It was a large creature made of orange coral. It did not have a torso; its arms and legs were connected directly to its head.

Personality

The Coral Creature, while not hostile by default, was disturbed by Spencer Johnson's plan to build a tunnel through the Great Barrier Reef, causing it to attack people on the beach.

History

What's New, Scooby-Doo?

Season three

It was believed to be the reason as to who or what was pulling people beneath the beach, but again it was a part of Spencer's elaborate plan. In an act of kindness, it was able to redeem itself by rescuing Scooby-Doo from a flood.^[1]

Notes/trivia

The coral creature was one of the few real monsters of the animated Scooby-Doo franchise. He was also one of the only monsters that had nothing to do with the mystery as he was merely disturbed by the villain's plan.
