History

Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed

The Cotton Candy Glob first appeared in an episode of The New Scooby Doo Movies featuring Mamma Cass and a haunted candy factory. However there were two of these monsters and were green, not pink. They tried to kidnap Mamma Cass, kill the gang with popcorn and jawbrakers, and ultimately steal the gold that was hidden in candybars. However in Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, there was only one that had been animated from it's costume stolen from the Coolsville Criminology Museum. It tried to frighten and kill Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo, but to his horror they ate him. His last words were, "I'll give you cavities", as pink cotton candy bits flew everywhere.

• The Cotton Candy Glob's cartoon version can be found in the film's novelisation where all the characters have cartoon versions and the online computer game, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed - Food Fight.
• The Cotton Candy Glob's defeat is similar to the defeat of the Cheese Monster in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo.
