Cousin Maldehyde was one of the late Col. Beauregard Sanders' relatives. She had a chance to inherit a share of a million dollars from the Sanders estate if she stayed overnight in Sanders' old house, but she was scared off by the Phantom Shadows. It cost her nothing because the money was Confederate and worthless.
