History[]

Early life[]

As a member of the Three Stooges, they were famous for their slapstick comedy in different mediums, including, stage, film, television, and comic books.[1]

When they bought a ghost town-themed amusement park, unexplained spooky things started to happen, which forced them to close it down.[1]

Appearances[]

Notes/trivia[]

  • In real-life, Joe DeRita was the stage name of Joseph Wardell (1909-1993). In 1958, he became the overall sixth person to join the Stooges, filling the third role. He remained with the group until its dissolution in 1970. The name, "Curly Joe", comes from his resemblance (and to disinguish himself) to Curly Howard and Joe Besser. Animated Curly Joe's catchphrase, "Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk", comes from Curly Howard.
  • Joe Baker may have voiced Curly Joe, instead of Daws Butler.[3]

Footnotes[]

  1. His surname is conjecture based on his real-life counterpart.
