History[]

Early life[]

Deacon Carlswell unmasked

Deacon unmasked.

At the end of one Mystery Inc. cases, Scooby-Doo caught Carlswell in a hay-baler.

In Alice May's flashback she watched him get taken away by the police. Alice May was depicted as a child despite the fact that she's supposed to be the same age as Mystery Inc.; in their own flashback they were unchanged and both of their flashbacks were presumably not far apart. This may be taken as a clue that her flashback was a lie, which turned out to be the case.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated[]

Season one[]

Velma Dinkley thought that he was still in jail at the time Alice May carried out new crimes, supposedly in revenge for his arrest. Alice May said she was his daughter, but he has no daughter.

Appearances[]

Notes/trivia[]

  • The flashback sequence in The Legend of Alice May replicates the scene from the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode Jeepers, It's the Creeper where Mr. Carswell is caught. Despite the extreme similarity between the two clips, little is known about his case in this continuity.
  • As with many of the ghosts and monsters that reference original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! stories, like those on display at the Crystal Cove Spook Museum, the known details of Carlswell's case closely mirror the story and details of the original show.
