Dimwittie was a master spy who posed as a guard at Bananatoons Studios.

He is a slightly overweight man with dark brown balding hair. While posing as a security guard, he wore a fake mustache that matched the color of his hair, in addition to his guard uniform and hat.

Personality[]

Based on his name he seemed to be not very bright, but it was all an act to hide the fact he was actually a spy trying to steal top secret rocket footage.

Notes/Trivia[]

  • Dimwittie's design was based on Hanna-Barbera's studio head guard named Bob.[1]
  • His name was originally Ralph, until writer, Tom Ruegger, heard Frank Welker's portrayal and changed it to Dimwittie.[2] The name "Ralph" came from an old childhood friend of Ruegger's.[3]
  • Talking on the Animanicast podcast, Ruegger was inspired by Welker's role as Dimwittie to then cast him as Ralph the Guard for his owns shows, Tiny Toons Adventures and Animaniacs.[4] On Facebook, Ruegger in fact suggests they are one and the same.[5]
