Earl Kress began his comic book career relatively recently, after spending 20 years writing animation for TV and Movies. His first credit in a comic was for a story that was adapted from his script for the "Back To The Future" animated series. After that, he started writing Hanna-Barbera titles for Harvey, then Archie Comics. These included The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, Top Cat, Magilla Gorilla and the first (and only) Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel crossover. He has also written The Simpsons and Bart Simpson for Bongo Comics. He currently writes Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo! for DC. His experience also includes television work for Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Tiny Toon Adventures and more. He was nominated for 6 daytime Emmy Awards and won in 1999 and 2000 for his work on Pinky and the Brain. His recent credits include "Disney's Kim Possible", "Hornswiggle" (a brand-new short for Nickelodeon), "Tom and Jerry Tales" and "Monster Allergy", the latter two titles will be premiering in the fall on Kid's WB.
Earl passed away on September 19th 2011. He was 53.
