Earl Kress was an American writer, cartoonist, and Animation historian. He wrote for Hanna-Barbera series, and appeared on several DVD extras for Warner Home Video, for season releases including The Flintstones, Top Cat, and Wacky Races. He also helped put together a Hanna-Barbera sound effects CD for Kid Rhino.

Kress died of liver cancer in 2011, at the age of 53.
