Needed: History.

The farmhouse was a front for Mrs. Baker's counterfeiting operations, in a rural area outside of Gotham City.

History[]

The farmhouse was actually reused from the first season Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode Mine Your Own Business, where it is the Gold City Guest Ranch. It is basically the same, except for being further in the background and having the "Gold City guest Ranch" sign in front of it.

The New Scooby-Doo Movies[]

Season one[]

The farmhouse is on a platform that sits atop a giant motorized axle that makes it "disappear" by rotating into an underground cavern, and leaving just a grassy plot of land (sometimes shown with a single tree upon it) in its place. The furniture inside has to be nailed to the floor in order to not fall, which is an important plot development clue. The contraption is activated from above ground by a tree branch that has been mechanized with an iron hinge, rope and pulley, and from below ground by a lever placed in the cavern wall. This clever device fools the gang and Batman and Robin when they leave the house, and later return to find it is gone. They only know it is the right place by the tree located 25 feet before it. They leave and return again, to find that the house is back, and discover by accident how the mechanism works. They end up getting caught in the rotations several times as different people activate the rotation levers. This leads them to the cavern, which connects to the warehouse where the mystery is solved.

(Upon mentioning the house to the Joker and Penguin, they do not know what the gang is talking about, as they were never there. It was just the place where the counterfeit money was received before being delivered to them).
