For other incarnations, see C.L. Magnus (disambiguation).

C.L. Magnus was the owner of a shipping company that was on the verge of bankruptcy, so he dressed up as the Ghost of Redbeard to steal his own cargo and get the insurance.

Physical appearance[]

C.L. Magnus is a middle-age man with brown hair. He wears black shoes, grey dress pants, a white dress shirt, and a light brown tie. At home, he wears a light brown dinner jacket with dark brown cuffs and lapels. He is also seen in a prison outfit.

Personality[]

Magnus was a dishonest businessman who had no qualms about defrauding his own company for his personal gain.

In addition, he was demonstrated to be short-sighted when he and his co-conspirators were so bent for revenge on the gang that he failed to notice the presence of gas reserves near the castle, which could've resulted in a more profitable venture than seeking revenge on the gang.

Season one[]

C.L

Magnus unmasked.

After hearing about the disappearances of his cargo, the gang went to his penthouse apartment to offer their assistance and learn about the incidents. Magnus told them that it was Redbeard's Ghost returning to pillage the high seas.

The gang were eventually able to capture Redbeard's Ghost, revealing that Magnus himself, with two henchmen as his ghostly crew, had been hijacking cargo to claim the insurance money.[1]

Scooby-Doo! Frankencreepy[]

C.L

Magnus unmasked as Mr. Burger.

He teamed up with Cuthbert Crawls, Mama Mione, and Lila to get revenge on Mystery Inc. After their capture, Magnus revealed the plans the villains had for the gang after learning of Velma Dinkley's family secret. He was then shocked to hear from Velma that he and his allies could have made a fortune from selling the gas to the castle, instead of taking revenge. He was left grumbling at not noticing.[2]
