Coney Island is a peninsula off of Brooklyn, in New York City. It is famous for its amusement parks and for its annual Mermaid Parade.

Scooby-Doo (DC Comics)[]
A team of float contestants created the Coney Island Kelp to steal the Mermaid Parade trophy and ruin the contest.[1]
The Astroland amusement park was haunted by the Coney Island Devil.[2]
