Notes/trivia[]

  • This is an adaptation of the The Ghost of the Bad Humor Man episode, from The Scooby-Doo Show. The following changes have been made:
    • In the cartoon, the Mystery Machine slips over gobsickles, not ice cream bars.
    • In the cartoon, the Happy Humor Ice Cream Factory is called the Happy Humor Ice Cream Co.
    • Mr. Grizzley is changed to "Mr. Grizzly," (if that wasn't already the intended spelling for the cartoon) and it isn't revealed to be an alias of Sammy the Shrimp.
  • Scooby's use of thought bubbles to communicate for the reader, used by Western Publishing and Charlton Comics, have been dropped, in favour of his using his speech from the cartoon (although there's still one instance where he substitutes speaking for a thought bubble).
  • Because of this being an adaptation, this is the only Marvel story not to be written by Mark Evanier.
