Gatorsburg is a town that was founded on the large abundance of alligators. Making their living from the 'gator mines and 'gator wells, the town enjoyed great prosperity until the 'gators ran dry. With the town economy depending entirely on alligators, it became almost completely abandoned.

In the 1800s, prospectors searched for gold, but "struck alligator" instead. The town became very rich with the most 'gators in America, until the 'gator mines ran dry; leaving Greta, Grady, and Gunther Gator as the only people living there.[1]

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated[]

Season one[]

When Scooby Doo and his friends visited this city, they lost the engine of their Mystery Machine. Thus they had to stay it the hotel where the were attacked by the Creeping creatures. After they defeated the Creeping creatures, the 3 were arrested. The town then remained completely abandoned.

Season two[]

The gang visited a cemetery in Gatorsburg, where they find the grave of Señor Primero Llave.[2]

Much later, it was revealed that during the 16th century, Porto tried to escape the rest of Fraternitas Mysterium with a piece of the Planispheric Disk by going to the area that would later be known as Gatorsburg. However, Porto ended up eaten by the alligators that were already there, allowing Friar Gabriello Serra to take the piece back and hide it in cheese.[3]

Gatorsburg is located over 3 miles away from Crystal Cove. If an engine is ordered at night, it won't arrive until morning.
