Gazette (Spooky Space Kook)

The Gazette is a newspaper.

History[]

Scooby-Doo, Where Are You![]

Season one[]

While searching for clues at the airfield, Fred, Daphne, and Velma found a copy of the Gazette newspaper hidden in a barrel. The paper had fingerprints on it that glowed just like the Spooky Space Kook's footprints, leading the trio to the conclusion that the ghost was reading the paper. Daphne pointed out that one of the cover stories had been circled, which turned out to be a report about the unexplained appearances of the Space Kook's spaceship around the airfield. Velma also noted an important clue: the paper was only one day old.[1]

Notes/trivia[]

  • While "Gazette" is hardly an original name, it's the first newspaper in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! to be given something identifiable.
  • Daphne says to look at the article that has been circled. But when the paper is in view, there is no circle.
  • The only parts of the paper that have legible writing are the paper's name (Gazette) and the title of the story about the Space Kook's spaceship.
