He has his own company called Brownstone Industries. When his company was in trouble, he sold his wife's diamond necklace to get funds to save it and replace it with a fake so she wouldn't find out. Worried she would eventually figure out it was fake, he decided to steal it back by posing as a sea monster and stole other jewels as cover. When his wife found out the truth, he explained he was worried she would leave him, but she assures him she wouldn't.
