History[]

Scooby-Doo! (DC Comics)[]

Harmon Palumbo unmasked

Harmon Palumbo unmasked.

Harmon wanted to ruin the wakeboarding tournament so that Dream Lake would return to its naturally silent state and he could concentrate on his poetry. He appeared a few times as the monster in order to threaten his victims and disappeared shortly after. He left behind clues, such as the fact that he knew what a motor was despite being asleep since before they were invented. The man was unmasked after he was launched headfirst into the sail of a boat.

The costume itself was very slender and had many features which likely made it easier for Harmon to maneuver in the water. He was not seen with any sort of scuba gear on so it may have required the man to resurface once in a while in order to breathe or there was an unspecified mechanism in the mask that allowed him to do so underwater. The mask was likely waterproof since his beard and face did not appear to be drenched at the time of unmasking. This would require it to be tight fitting to the Harmon's face which may have caused him discomfort as he would have had to cram his large beard inside to keep it from sticking out. This did not seem to hinder his ability to talk however.
