He invited the gang to watch him perform at Decade Records, coincidentally on the same day it was haunted by the Phantom.
During the tape session for his new song, the recording equipment malfunctioned and Ace Decade cancelled the session. While the Gang and Jimmy ponder about the strange music Tony wrote down, Shaggy and Scooby appeared inside an air vent, after been thrown out by Joe the guard, told them about the trash cans full of Jimmy Lewis albums, and the Phantom grabbed the music sheet, and after a chase, Scooby traps him in reels of recording tape. The Phantom was unmasked as Ace Decade who selling records for his personal profits from his uncle's studio and he sabotaged the equipment to stop the session after learning what Tony had written.
After learning where Tony was, Jimmy and the gang freed him from the storage closet.
