Jonathan is a tall man with brown hair and a double cleft chin. He wears a red shirt under blue overalls and a beige hat with a brown band.

Personality[]

Jonathan is a man of few words, and when he does speak, he either say "yep", "nope", or "meddling". He is also greedy, as he was willing to chase Old Tom off his land to get the natural gas under it. However, he was willing to cooperate with Tom after they learned there was natural gas under both farms and decided not to press charges.

History[]

Be Cool, Scooby-Doo![]

Season one[]

After learning there was natural gas under Old Tom's farm, he dressed up as the Scarecrow to scare him away so he could get it. However, Old Tom also dressed up as the Scarecrow for the exact same reason. After learning there was gas under both properties, both farmers agreed not to press charges against each other.

He later appeared as one of the previous culprits in the jury at Fred's trial after he was accused of stealing valuables from Safety Springs.

Appearances[]

Notes/trivia[]

  • Jonathan's name is also spelled "Johnathan" on the the surveyor's map, when it was already spelled the former on Jonathan's own produce stand banner and later in the end credits.
  • Batman's supervillain Scarecrow is the alter ego of criminally insane professor and psychiatrist Dr. Jonathan Crane.
  • A recurring joke in "Eating Crow", is the fact that Jonathan speaks only using monosyllabic expressions (that is, speaking only using one word), and that because of this, his own daughter Beth ends up acting as his interpreter.
