- The name Jacques Pierce is a reference to famous makeup artist Jack Pierce. Rick Broiler is a reference to famous creature make-up artist Rick Baker. Tom Burden is a reference to the famous filmmaker Tim Burton. Doug Bones is a reference to the famous creature suit actor Doug Jones.
