The Moat Monster was the disguise of Cyrus Wheedly.
Physical appearance[]
The monster resembles a giant green frog or toad with a white belly. It has black spots on its back, and the part of its face surrounding its eyes is also black. It's eyes are red with yellow sclerae.

Season one[]
Cyrus Wheedly unmasked.
Cyrus used it to help the Duke of Strathmore scare off visitors to Hagglethorn Castle in exchange for half the money from the sale of the castle. He put on a wetsuit underneath the costume to allow him to breathe underwater. After the two were caught, Creech, the castle butler, asked if he should call the authorities. However, the duke pointed out that doing this would bring great shame to the family name. So, instead, the two had to use their disguises to attract visitors and help raise money for Hagglethorn Hall. Wheedly had to dress up as the Moat Monster and was getting water-logged in the moat.
