Personality[]
Basically, she is shown to not like carnivals or anything else that's deemed to be fun. She thinks children should attend to their studies instead of going to the carnival.

Mrs. Krumb often came to Pops' Big Top Carnival to tell young people that they shouldn't be wasting time having fun at the carnival, making her a possible suspect to be the Carnival Creeper. But she was quickly eliminated from suspicion because she lacked the strength and agility the monster demonstrated.
When Velma asks what the gang should do first at the carnival, Mrs. Krumb walks right by them and tells them to leave, saying they should attend to their studies. When Daphne wonders what she means, Mrs. Krumb says that it's carnivals like Pops' Big Top Carnival that keep children away from their studies, and that someone should close it down. After she walks off, Velma remarks that Mrs. Krumb is a strange old woman, and Daphne adds, "Imagine, not wanting kids to have any fun."
