Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? (DC Comics)[]
Veronica was the author of books about zombies and vampires, such as Sunrise: Resurrection and Sunrise: A New Day. But she skimped on her research and ignored traditional lore; for example, her vampires turned into butterflies. Her sales were starting to suffer, and she wanted to boost them with a publicity stunt. She hired actors to play zombies, and called in Mystery Inc. as witnesses. Velma Dinkley was able to expose her plot easily, so Veronica decided just to make her books more authentic in the future.

- The Sunrise books seem to be a spoof on the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. (Note the "Oscar/Meyer" pun). A similar spoof was later done in Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated with the Dusk series by Regina Wentworth
