- This is the fourth issue to contain an original story.
- The cover is based on The Bewitched Weather of Buccaneer's Bay, and features Daphne, Fred, Shaggy, and Velma separated from Scooby-Doo by a diagonal line, which puts the latter group in a sunny setting and Scooby in a blizzard filled with lightning.
- Fred's ascot is yellow.
- Daphne's headband is dark purple and the rim on her clothing is dark pink.
- Velma's skirt is blue-green.
- Shaggy's left eye and eyebrow is still visible behind his hair.
- Scooby-Doo's collar is green and his dogtag doesn't have his initials.
