I did have the right word to describe what I'm trying to say, but it has since escaped me...

Anyway. I've been thinking about swapping the disambigs for the celebrity caricature with the real person because I think their fictionalized versions have more significance than the real people who actually play them.

So "Jonathan Winters (character)" would be renamed to "Jonathan Winters" & "Jonathan Winters" would be renamed to "Jonathan Winters (actor)".

"Simple Plan (characters)" would be renamed to "Simple Plan" while "Simple Plan" would be renamed to "Simple Plan (group)", etc..

What do you think? -- Anythingspossibleforapossible 01:11, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

It makes sense. Some celebrity characters aren't played by themselves, or are played by different voice actors in different cases (like Laurel and Hardy, or the Three Stooges). When people look them up they are probably thinking of the characters that appeared in the show, not the actors, so we should make that simpler for them. RockSunner 02:01, October 24, 2011 (UTC)
