I think I get your idea. But the number of continuities is somewhat controversial. Here are some of the many divisions:
  +
  +
1) Original universe ([[Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!]], [[The New Scooby-Doo Movies]], etc.
  +
2) The last part of the Scrappy years, which got very "cartoony."
  +
3) Laff-A-Lympics, which accepts the wide range of Hanna-Barbara funny animals as full humanoid citizens.
  +
4) [[The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo]] which had fully supernatural foes.
  +
5) The retcons from [[A Pup Named Scooby-Doo]], which had them meeting and solving crimes very young.
  +
6) [[What's New, Scooby-Doo?]], which looks like a continuation of the regular continuity but seems to embrace 5) in the episode ''[[A Terrifying Round With A Menacing Metallic Clown]]''.
  +
7) The various comic book series and novels.
  +
8) The made-for-DVD movies like ''[[Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island]]'', after which no-one in the gang could continue to say there were no such things as monsters or ghosts.
  +
  +
Our take here has been to accept and try to reconcile all the above, but we separate out:
  +
1) The first live-action movies.
  +
2) The second set of live-action movies.
  +
3) [[Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!]]
  +
4) [[Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated]]
  +
  +
Those I agree we have to separate out, but if we start tagging everything it may lead to controversy. [[User:RockSunner|RockSunner]] 06:13, November 5, 2011 (UTC)

Controvesial for whom. I realise that some people wish to combine all productions into one omniverse, but the truth is they're not & it'd be good to (finally) differeniate between them. -- [[User:Anythingspossibleforapossible|Anythingspossibleforapossible]] 06:22, November 5, 2011 (UTC)

I've been thinking that because this site covers all Scooby 'universes' then maybe there should a box with an image in the top right hand corner of the page to say what one you're reading from.

  • Everything connected to the original could have an image of SDWAY.
  • Theatrical has one from the first film's title card.

And so on... or group images could be used instead.

A link could also be in the box sending you to the template page to tell you what it & lists all the productions that box is for.

Examples (although they do say 'real world', but hopefully you get the point.):

  • [1]
  • [2] (although it's too big though)

Hopefully you will be able to understand just what I mean. If you don't, then I'll just have to try again. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible 05:25, November 5, 2011 (UTC)

I think I get your idea. But the number of continuities is somewhat controversial. Here are some of the many divisions:

1) Original universe (Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, The New Scooby-Doo Movies, etc. 2) The last part of the Scrappy years, which got very "cartoony." 3) Laff-A-Lympics, which accepts the wide range of Hanna-Barbara funny animals as full humanoid citizens. 4) The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo which had fully supernatural foes. 5) The retcons from A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, which had them meeting and solving crimes very young. 6) What's New, Scooby-Doo?, which looks like a continuation of the regular continuity but seems to embrace 5) in the episode A Terrifying Round With A Menacing Metallic Clown. 7) The various comic book series and novels. 8) The made-for-DVD movies like Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island, after which no-one in the gang could continue to say there were no such things as monsters or ghosts.

Our take here has been to accept and try to reconcile all the above, but we separate out: 1) The first live-action movies. 2) The second set of live-action movies. 3) Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! 4) Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated

Those I agree we have to separate out, but if we start tagging everything it may lead to controversy. RockSunner 06:13, November 5, 2011 (UTC)
