The Fred Jones impostor was the leader of the fake Mystery Inc. gang that committed crimes while pretending to solve them, exploiting the reputation of the real Mystery Inc.

Physical appearance[]

He is made up to look like Fred Jones, but he wears a red tie instead of an ascot. His smug smile exhales sheer malevolence.

Personality[]

He loves his wife, the Daphne Blake imposter. He is arrogant and thinks his team can easily beat the real group. He underestimated Fred's ability to improvise traps, as Fred did in this case by turning a fire hose on the impostors.

History[]

Scooby-Doo (DC Comics)[]

He went around committing crimes while pretending to solve them.

Appearances[]

Notes/trivia[]

  • The impostors' marriage is a hint towards the potential romance between the real Fred and Daphne.
  • The kiss between "Fred" and "Daphne" was the closest any cartoon or comic media came to showing physical affection between the real Fred and Daphne at the time. Eventually, in animated form, Daphne kissed Fred on the cheek in the DTV Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase, followed by a kiss on the lips between the two in the DTV Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright (they had also kissed several times between those films in the unrelated TV series Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated)
