The Fright Hound is a monstrous version of Scooby-Doo that was created by Jason Wyatt's mother.

Physical appearance

At first glance, the Fright Hound resembles Scooby-Doo. The main difference would be the beast’s face, which looks considerably baggier and more threatening, with visible teeth sticking out even when its mouth is closed, and fierce, glowing red eyes. After its skin was shot off in the Asylum, a metallic endoskeleton revealed itself underneath the false fur.

It is extremely strong and bullet-resistant.

History

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated

Season one

The Fright Hound first attacked the Asylum.

It then attacked the bus that Angie Dinkley was giving tours in. Scooby and the gang arrived to discover that the bus was attacked by a weredog-like creature. Sheriff Bronson Stone grabbed Scooby, handcuffed him and took him to jail because he thought Scooby had attacked the bus.

Mystery Inc. went to the Animal Asylum to get Scooby back, due to the Fright Hound knowing he was there. Unfortunately, they were too late, as the Fright Hound had arrived moments after them. Armed guards shot off its skin, revealing its robotic form. It proceeded to attack the lawmen and defeated them effortlessly in the process. Mystery Inc. escaped in the ensuring chaos.

Then, they went to an old factory where the Fright Hound attacked the gang. The Fright Hound attacked Velma and Shaggy, but Scooby courageously engaged it in battle.

The Fright Hound was hit and mutilated by the dangerous obstacles, but it was still operational, until Scooby crushed it.

The Fright Hound's creator was revealed to be Jason Wyatt's mom. She saw how the gang had treated her son, so she created the Fright Hound out of anger and framed Scooby, hoping to destroy the gang. (Howl Of The Fright Hound)

Post-Nibiru

When the Evil Entity was destroyed, it altered all of reality for Crystal Cove; meaning she didn't build the Fright Hound in the past.
