Reception
Karen Matchette hones her take on Mystery Inc. in "Gargoyle Foil." Like Staton, she provides a detailed backdrop for the mystery, and anybody who thinks that Scooby-Doo is mere kids stuff should take a look at the draftwork involved in recreating the interior and exterior of Notre Dame.
Terrence Griep keeps the reader guessing throughout the tale, and he rings out a number of suspects for potential monster. He gives even Shaggy a modicum of sense, and Daphne and Freddie enjoy a cute, comic scene for as a refreshing change of pace. As usual, I'm pleased to recommend Scooby-Doo for all ages. [1]
