It was controlled by the real Melissa Hughes, along with her voice transmitted to miniature devices planted near her victim's ears so only they could hear her (J. Paul Hughes and Shaggy Rogers were the chosen victims). Her goal was to win control of her husband's company for herself and her son Luke, who was her accomplice. (Hear No Evil)
