Needed: Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? history.
For other incarnations, see Green Ghosts (disambiguation).

The Green Ghosts were the disguises of Cosgood Creeps and Cuthbert Crawls.

Physical appearance[]

When dressed as the Green Ghosts, Creeps and Crawls wore green hooded robes, shadowing their faces, except for their eyes and mouths, which are both orange. They also wore gloves, with long, curved fingers. The wrists of their left arms also had long chains with cuffs on both ends, but the cuffs on their right hands have been broken off.

Personality[]

They had a habit of laughing in a sinister way to scare the heirs, Scooby-Doo, and the gang. Their chains are potentially indicative of them formerly being prisoners or slaves on the island, thus why they want to reclaim it for themselves. But as we find out, they aren't really ghosts.

Powers and abilities[]

They were fast, and could cast their shadows wherever they want. They were also able to write on mirrors with an ectoplasmic residue.

History[]

Scooby-Doo, Where Are You![]

Season one[]

Original Phantom Shadow

Original appearance of the lone Phantom Shadow.

The two lawyers wanted the estate of Colonel Beauregard Sanders, but had to get the inheritors named in his will, including the colonel's relatives and Scooby-Doo, out the mansion so they could have the fortune to themselves.

When Scooby and the other heirs arrived to be read the late Col. Sanders' will, it turned out that they would all have to spend the night at his mansion in order to collect their inheritance, but the catch was that the mansion was apparently haunted. Creeps and Crawls then donned their costumes and proceeded to scare off the heirs so they could keep all of Sanders' fortune for themselves.

Creeps and Crawls unmasked

Creeps and Crawls unmasked.

The plan went awry when they went after Scooby. Although Fred's first trap failed to work, they were soon captured and unmasked. The fortune, however, turned out to be in confederate money thus making their scheme pointless had they succeeded.[1]

Scooby-Doo! Frankencreepy[]

Some of the case was highlighted on Daphne's webshow after Shaggy confused the cases of the Green Ghosts and the Mamba Wamba.

The original case was then shown again on Velma's phone (including the unmasking) after the gang caught the revenge-seeking conspiracy group, including Crawls.[2]
