They wanted to keep the Harlem Globetrotters from sleeping so they'd be too tired to win the game. Unfortunately, depsite being caught, they succeeded in keeping the Globetrotters awake all night. However, Mystery Inc. was able to help the Globetrotters win the game by using ice.
