James Gelsey is the author of Scooby-Doo! Mysteries chapter books (45 titles and counting) published by Scholastic, Inc.. Gelsey is currently working on a new series for Scholastic called the Scooby-Doo! Case Files.

Over the past eight years, he helped develop Scholastic's Scooby-Doo! & You: Collect the Clues Mysteries; has written Nick Zone chapter books featuring SpongeBob SquarePants; adaptated What's New, Scooby-Doo? television cartoons for the Scooby-Doo, Junior chapter book series; and created chapter-book adaptations of the popular Dragon Booster animated series (as seen on the now defunct JETIX). Many of his “Scooby-Doo!” titles have been translated into Italian, Spanish and French.[1]
