Eventually, his innosance was proven when Fred and the girls found out he is planning to turn the mining town into an amusement park for children. Jeremiah "Old Man" Wickles, is an ex-convict who was trying to open an amusement park in Coolsville.

He was incarcerated for illegal acts as the Black Knight Ghost. During his time as a prisoner, he was roommates with Jonathan Jacobo, a former scientist, and hated him deeply.
