Season three
The gang first meets Mei Ling when she is with her team inside her father's store rehearsing. Velma asks why she wants to keep her rehearsing a secret, Mei says it's because her father wants her to help take care of the store, as opposed to her real dream of becoming an acrobat. Shaggy then shows her his broken rubber ducky, and Mei Ling reveals that she has a female rubber ducky as well. Mei Ling then tells the gang that they might find some clues at warehouse twelve. Fred recommends Mei Ling to be safe from the dragon, but she's not worried in the slightest.
Velma then suspects that Mei Ling might be behind this so she's free to go with her team, but Shaggy thinks otherwise. Just then, the dragon shows up and chases the gang all over the mall. Mei Ling them leaps in and saves their lives. Velma is still suspicious, since every time the dragon shows up, she's saves them in the nick of time. Just then, the dragon kidnaps Mei Ling and takes her away.
When the gang captures the dragon, it is revealed that Wu is the true culprit and the team was helping him, along with Mei Ling (who is gagged and tied). As soon as the team is taken away, Mei Ling reveals that she only stole him and Scooby because she didn't want Shaggy to get hurt. Shaggy then was sad that he would never see his rubber ducky again, but then Mei gave Shaggy her ducky as a parting gift. [1]
