Mel Blanc was an American voice and comic actor. He is best remembered for doing the voices of Warner Brothers' Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig.

He is also known for the Hanna-Barbera roles of Barney Rubble and Dino on The Flintstones (co-starring Alan Reed and Jean Vander Pyl), Mr. Spacely on The Jetsons (starring Daws Butler, Janet Waldo, and Vander Pyl), and Captain Caveman from Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels. He was also a regular on the radio and television series, The Jack Benny Program.

Blanc was diagnosed with emphysema in 1985. He died of advanced coronary artery disease in 1989, at the age of 81.
