Mission: Un-Doo-Able is the first half of the fourth episode of The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries; it aired alongside The Bee Team.

Premise[]

The Un-DOO-Able Mission Team, under the lead of Agent Doo, set out to nab the no good crook, Mastermind. It seems he hired some technicians to build a transponder beam in the Statue of Liberty. This will allow him to control the world if the team can't stop him.

Notes/trivia[]

  • Pat Fraley would go on to voice a large variety of voices for animated cartoons including the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Intriguingly, Mr. Droid's build somewhat also resembles the later "robotic unicycle" droids seen in the pilot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
  • The licensed streaming version of this episode appears to show a defect in the master tape which lasts for around three seconds during the scene with the pizza man saying, "you got it". The audio distorts and the video also glitches for this duration. It is unknown if any official backups were made.

Miscellaneous[]

Cultural references[]

  • The title is a reference to the 60's Mission: Impossible; the "this hydrant will self-destruct" parodies the self-destructing mission messages.
  • Cecil talking in a secret room covered by a curtain and pretending to be someone more imposing and frightening is a reference to The Wizard of Oz.

Animation mistakes and/or technical glitches[]

  • None known.

Inconsistencies/continuity errors and/or goofs/oddities[]

  • The Scooby-Doo Detective Agency is referred to as the Un-DOO-Able Mission Team in this episode and also appears to be temporarily employed by the government.
