This article is about the character from the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode, Bedlam in the Big Top. For the character based on him in Scooby-Doo! Who's Watching Who?, see Sylvester Sweetsugar.

Mr. Barnstorm is a ringmaster.

Physical appearance[]

Mr. Barnstorm is a man with brown hair. Typical of a circus ringmaster, he wears a tuxedo with tails, including a green coat with dark green lapels, tight-fitting dark green pants, white tuxedo shirt, and lavender waistcoat. The ensemble is completed with black, knee-high boots, a black bowtie and a black top hat with a lavender band.

Personality[]

Mr. Barnstorm is a dedicated ringmaster. While he can be kind and considerate, he is also a man of integrity, as he has zero tolerance on his performers committing any acts of crime in his circus. He can also be superstitious, and like many of the circus performers he employs, his superstition leads him to accept the clear acts of sabotage against his circus as the work of a supernatural jinx called the "Ghost Clown" that can doom circuses to failure.

History[]

Scooby-Doo, Where Are You![]

Season one[]

His circus was in trouble because it was menaced by a hypnotic ghost clown, who was actually Harry the Hypnotist going out for revenge against Mr. Barnstorm for firing him for stealing and sending him to prison. The gang was able to catch the Ghost Clown, and save Mr. Barnstorm's circus.
