History

Early history

The gang had known each other since they were kids,[1] and attended Coolsville High together.[3]

Scrappy-Doo had joined them until he started demanding leadership, and other annoyances, which the gang couldn't put up with anymore, leading them to abandon him in the desert near Yucca Flats.[3]

Scooby-Doo (film)

The gang unmasked Old Man Smithers as the Luna Ghost. After the mystery, the gang broke up, due to personality clashes. Shaggy and Scooby were left with the Mystery Machine, and went onto to live at the the beach. The gang stayed apart for the next two years, until they each received a letter about a mystery from Spooky Island. They had to find out what was causing the misbehavior of the college students. They found out their old gang member, Scrappy-Doo, was taking the spirits of all of the Spooky Island visitors to become an all-powerful monster, and dominant the Earth.[3]

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed

The gang had to find out who had been steaing the costumes at the Coolsonian Criminology Museum, and how the Pterodactyl Ghost had been brought to life. Meanwhile, a TV reporter had been humiliating the gang for them not being able to save the museum visitors. In the end, they defeated the monsters, and returned them all back to costumes, and then found out that the person who stole the costumes was the TV reporter, who was really their past foe, Dr. Jonathan Jacobo.[1]
