Mystery Inc. travelled to New York City to enter Shaggy into the Poetry Slam against singer Halsey, but the event was hijacked by the Gator Man Monster who was after the lost treasure of deceased magnate J. Jacob Ascot. Mystery Inc. travelled through the city's subterranea, found the treasure, and unmasked the Gator Man Monster as the Poetry Slam promoter.
