Red Sparks was a construction foreman at Acme Construction Company. He was in charge of Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo when they were construction workers.
Physical appearance
Red Sparks is a grown Caucasian male, with a hair missing from the top of his head, except for a few strands of hair combed over, with what remains, being a reddish-brown. He wears a beige construction worker's uniform with brown gloves and an orange hardhat.
Personality
He seemed rather mild-mannered as Shaggy's boss, though this only served to conceal his greed. When Shaggy said hello to him even after being caught, he just snarled.

Season one
Sparks unmasked.
He was secretly committing safe robberies around town with his partner Jim Rivets, and the buildings they robbed were close to the construction site he worked at. They used a special light-gathering lens to spy on people opening their safes at night and learn their combinations. Since the building being built was high enough to obstruct their view of the safes, Red dressed up as the Specter of Ebenezer Crabbe to scare the other workers away from the site. However, the gang uncovered their scheme, and the two crooks were arrested.[1]
