Ruby-Doo is the mother of Scrappy-Doo, the only daughter of Mumsy and Dada-Doo, and the younger sister of Scooby-Doo.

She let Scrappy go on adventures with his uncle.[2]

Physical appearance[]

Ruby is a female Great Dane. As a puppy she had light brown fur with a head of brown hair tied into a ponytail. She wore a pink sweater with purple rims, and a legwarmer on her tail.[1] Fully grown, her hair had gone and her fur had become light brownish-grey, and she wore a dark blue collar with a gold-colored tag, and a pink bow on top of her head.

Personality[]

Ruby is kind and loves her son and brother very much. When she was younger, she had a valley girl-type personality.[1]

History[]

A Pup Named Scooby-Doo[]

Season two[]

Pup Ruby-Doo

Ruby as a puppy.

Ruby attended the Doo family reunion at the Knittingham Puppy Farm. As a puppy, she related a lot to Daphne Blake, sharing a common interest in fashion.[1]

Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (second series)[]

She gave birth to Scrappy at St. Bernard's Memorial Hospital. When she was being taken to the delivery room, she told Shaggy and Scooby not to worry, but when she entered, they both fainted.

Once the baby was born, he attacked the doctor for swatting him; the doctor then says he was a scrappy little tyke, which she overheard and decided to name him Scrappy-Doo.

Later, Scrappy told her that he couldn't find anyone to play with, then they saw Shaggy and Scooby getting chased by an angry hospital orderly, with Ruby explaining to her son who they were, so the newborn went after them.

After Shaggy and Scooby got beat up, Scrappy asked if he could travel with them, to which she simply said, "We'll see."[2]
