Episode 4 is the fourth and final case of the video game, Scooby-Doo! First Frights.
Premise[]
When the gang arrive at Keystone Castle for the food festival they find the place completely deserted and decide to split up to see if they can find out what is going on.
Synopsis[]
Intro[]
Baron Von Richenstoof is preparing for the international food festival when the Witch Queen appears and scares everyone away.
Investigation: Level 1[]
When the gang arrives they notice that the place is deserted and start to look around. Velma and Fred start looking for access into the castle when they meet Costington, the Baron's butler, and Lady Azarni, the Baron's sister, who informs them of the castle's curse. After being informed of Shaggy and Scooby presence, Costington directs them to the Baron. They tell Daphne of this, to which she never encountered Lady Azarni. They run into some scary ghostmen and living gargoyles. They also find gold and tell Daphne. The pair finally make it to the castle courtyard where they meet the Baron, he explains the curse of the witch queen and advises them to go and see Cal Perkins in the forest.
Investigation: Level 2[]
Shaggy and Scooby enter the forest to see Cal Perkins just before they are attacked by werewolves. When they ask him about the food festival he says "with that Witch Queen about, you are the food," he then explains that if they want to find clues they should find the creepy cabin. After reluctantly searching the cabin per Fred's insistence and finding Cal's keys, they tell Fred and make their way towards a mine.
Investigation: Level 3[]
Daphne and Velma search the mine where they surprisingly find Lady Azarni's slippers and tell this to Fred. They also fight a purple ghostman.
Chase[]
Shaggy and Scooby are chased by werewolves through a collapsing mine and escape by jumping down a mine shaft.
Investigation: Level 4[]
Fred and Daphne search the castle for more clues and after seeing the Baron being chased by werewolves, they locate a family album without Lady Azarni in it. The level ends with the pair entering a secret passage behind a book shelf.
Boss fight level[]
Scooby and Shaggy fight the Witch Queen by defeating her werewolves, dodging her mace, and battling her in hand-to-hand combat. The fight causes the castle to collapse and everyone has to run for their lives to get out. The gang successfully escape and explain how the Witch Queen was Lady Azarni and that she discovered the gold mine and tried to scare the Baron away so she can have all the gold for herself. The big surprise comes when they realize that this time the monster was real as the Baron points out that he's the only child, hinting that the Lady Azarni that Fred and Velma saw earlier was her human disguise and that the Costington that was with her was an illusion. The Baron thanks the gang for breaking the curse and the real Costington arrives to tell everyone that the food festival is back on. The story ends with the witch queen, who had survived, escaping the castle.
