Notes/trivia

  • The solicitation of the Movie Reader novelization by Scholastic, suggests it will be a tie-in to Halloween. Although the book itself will be released July, 29.
  • This is the third time Anarbor's cover of the What's New, Scooby-Doo? theme song is used for an animated direct-to-video.
  • The trailer reveals the following:
    • A possible setting in Bovaria, Germany.
    • Scooby and Shaggy participate in a doughnut eating contest.
    • Velma has a Bride of Frankenstein makeover and acts a little out of character.
    • Scooby, Shaggy and Daphne wear the local clothing. Daphne's dress however, is huge and makes her look fat, as well as her hair being a big, curly mess.
    • One of the villains is a Dr. Frankenstein-type, wearing an iron mask, looking similiar to Old Iron Face from The Scooby-Doo Show episode, The Creepy Case of Old Iron Face.
    • There is a Mystery Machine painted wagon.
    • The Mystery Machine gets three engines attached to it, making it possibly fly or at least making it fly out of control.

Adaptations

  • Scholastic will release a novel in their Movie Reader line, only it's called Scooby-Doo! It's Alive!. It's unknown if that will stick or not.
