The Shadowy Figure was the disguise of Professor Pericles, used in conjunction with Fred Jones's trap system which he hacked into. By making Mayor Jones think his house was haunted, he wanted to scare him into giving up the piece of the Planispheric Disk that Pericles claims the Mayor stole from him a long time ago, making it possible for Pericles to steal it back.

Physical appearance[]

He was a ghostly figure in a large cape, with his face hidden.

Personality[]

He was eerie and threatening.

Powers and abilities[]

He seemed to fly along. This was actually Pericles flying within the cape. He could also activate traps throughout the house to make things move. He used some unknown means to appear out of nowhere from shadowlike smoke.

Season one[]

Professor Pericles is the Shadowy Figure

Professor Pericles unmasked.

Professor Pericles found the password to go on Fred's laptop and open all of his traps (he should have used another password instead of "trappin' guy"). Professor Pericles intended to frighten the Mayor to get the Planispheric Disk piece and he used a huge hood to make it look like a phantom and fly. It was too bad that his diet of sunflower seeds gave him away. Professor Pericles told Fred that Mayor Jones stole the Planispheric Disk piece from him a long time ago. Professor Pericles got out of the trap, pressed a button, and Mystery Incorporated fell into a trap. Pericles laughed evilly and finally got away with the piece.
