- Scott Innes, who played this Shaggy in First Frights, also played the original Shaggy in the last three direct-to-video films, as well as the other videogame incarnations of Shaggy.
- Matthew Lillard, who played replaced Innes in Spooky Swamp, began steadily playing the original Shaggy in the DTV Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo, having previously played a live-action incarnation in Scooby-Doo: The Movie and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.
